Barbara and Joe met through a common friend and dated close to three years before making it official with their “I do’s”. (See their engagement session.) As the day was approaching, Barbara and I were continuously communicating and I could easily tell how excited and
emotional they both were about celebrating this special day.
Barbara is a sweet mom of a very active six-year-old boy, Jakob. I can’t put into words how to describe Jakob…he is just the sweetest little dude ever! He loves baseball. Joe stepped in to support Jakob, emotionally and physically, especially by sharing what they both love: baseball.
From when I first met the three of them, I knew they were special. The way Joe loves Barbara and Jakob cannot be explained. Their love and support for each other just goes the way around this family. I do have to say they are so much fun to be with. They joke around ALL the time…literally I was laughing the entire day!
From the very beginning of that special day, as I prepared for detail shots, I knew that it was going to be memorable for all of their family and guest and of course for both of Barbara and Joe. Although a few plans had to be adjusted because of weather related issues, their ceremony was perfect. From the beautiful lace blush-colored gown, to the perfect venue, to all the little details that Joe and Barbara thought of for their big day…it was all on point! When Barbara, accompanied by her brother and Jakob, started to make her way to the aisle…I couldn’t help but to look at Joe’s expression. The expression on his face of “ok this is it, here comes the most beautiful woman in the entire world with the most amazing little guy”, could tell
anyone looking how much Barbara and Jakob meant to him. As Barbara and Joe said their own vows their “I do’s”, everyone gathered there was witnessing the beginning of their new journey.
When Barbara and Joe danced their first dance together as a wife and husband, everyone there couldn’t keep their eyes off them. They were just f full of a vibrant energy, full of smiles, laughs, and kisses. The night came to an end when they were sent off with glow sticks by their loved ones and guests. They were off to Houston for their honeymoon to watch some baseball (GO Astros! Lol).
I can say that with Barbara and Joe, I definitely witnessed a couple with compassion, humility, but above all, LOVE. It was love like in the movies. The ones with a happy ending. And, although this is the beginning of their marriage, I am pretty sure they will grow old together forever in love.
